So if you're here and you know nothing about me, great, let me give you some pointers that will get you the picture of who I am.
1) I told my parents when I was 12 years old I want to be an Interior Designer when I'm older. I might have had second thoughts about that decision through school but lets be honest I never fully looked back. I love interior design.
2) I graduated with my bachelors in Interior Design from Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, NY. It was an amazing education and taught me more than I ever would have thought. I was taught my working professionals in the NYC area and was surrounded by art in the city.
3) I was always a hands on person. When I was younger I used to love taking things apart with my brother (he turned out to be an engineer). I would play with my barbies when I was with friends but leave me alone and you better believe I was playing with my brothers legos. Now today I still love building things and coming up with how to build them. I have since built my own bed frame and dining table (tutorials coming soon). I built both in my Chicago apartment and some of the tools I had never used before and just watched a lot of youtube videos.
4) Furniture is my thing. I have a thing for knowing who makes furniture and finding great pieces. I'm always out trying to find out what the next big thing in the design world is going to be. I'm also great at finding furniture that others might not know its something special. It could be an expensive designer piece or just an ordinary piece that needs some love to become amazing.
So I'm going to be posting here pretty frequently. I'm mostly going to focus on projects I'm working on, Tutorials on stuff I work on or help people work on, designs that need some showcasing, and many other things to have fun reading my perspective on.
I'll also be getting my name out in the Vermont area and hope to get big in the E-design community. I'm really excited to start working with all of you, it's going to be a blast.
