Well well, my thanksgiving resolution is to be better at posting on my blog. So here goes two posts in one day.
Thanksgiving is this week and besides the food (yum) and being with family my favorite part is setting the table. This goes way back where I would use my parents nice dishes and set the table for every big holiday. This year I'm spending the holiday with a lot of family and celebrating two times. My brother is coming up from Boston and the five of us will all be together for Thanksgiving on Thursday and my aunt and uncle from Ottawa will also be here on Thursday. Then on Saturday a lot of family from Canada will be coming down for one massive thanksgiving meal. Now I know they are Canadian but they have relatives in the US so they take full advantage of being able to have two thanksgivings and almost always come down for the big meal. Thanksgiving is about being with family for me so everyone is welcome!!! Anyways on to the table. For Thursdays meal we are using my dishes and I'm making the menu. I'll post more later about what food I make, since I got some cool pies to make this week. Here are some photos of the table all ready for Thursday, and the links where to find some of the items I used.
The glassware is vintage.
The table runner is a discontinued Ikea table cloth folded up to be a runner. The candle holder is a discontinued item from Wisteria.
